Has anyone been down this road before? Is there anything else I can check before biting the bullet on letting the dealer take a crack? I think I have a ebay VagCom cable laying around here somewhere, with maybe a copy of VCDS lite on my laptop - is there anything to check on that?Ĭlick to expand.hmm. Installed it today, but alas, still no joy. So, I took a 'flyer' and purchased a new microphone unit. Unfortunately, I am out of warranty, and my dealer quoted me $160 - just to look at the problem. In a couple of those cases, people reported that the dealer replaced their microphone unit under warranty, and the problem was solved. So, I started looking around online for other people who had similar issues. Otherwise, BT seems to work fine - my phone pairs fine, I can play music over it, and I can accept (and hear) calls (but again, they can’t hear me). Not surprisingly, the voice command function doesn't work - the car keeps telling me it can't hear me. No matter what I do, callers cannot hear me - it's not that my voice is quiet, they can't hear me at all. I do seem to have a problem with the Bluetooth mic, though. I picked up a lightly used 2017 GTI Sport a couple months back.
